Terry was a union carpenter and later a paramedic/firefighter with Miami-Dade Fire Rescue. He and his wife, Karen and had a daughter.

He spent his adult life helping others. He left us way too soon.

May he rest in the peace he truly deserved. We miss you, brother.

This one truly hurt. In many ways our lives were parallel.

We grew up in West Miami, played all the sports at the "Rec". etc.

After high school our paths parted and I didn't see him again until I was taking the physical agilities test to get onto the fire department about fifteen years later.

He was all smiles and I'll never forget him telling me I was going to love being a firefighter. He was right.

Once I got on I quickly learned that Terry was an icon on the department. His reputation for compassion, skills, knowledge, and an all around great guy to work with was legendary.

And now he's gone. We'll always miss him.

Terry and I were best of friends, we first met as members of the coral park swim team.  When we graduated from high school we both got on the fire department he went to the county and I went to the city.  Throughout his career we would run across each other on different emergencies involved in rescue.  Sometimes would even meet  at  arbiter's hot dogs stand. I was very devastated with his passing.  He will be surely missed.

I'm kinda embarrassed to say but as a swimmee, I was so envious of these divers
They seemed to have it easy at practice and of course flying off the high dive, got a big chunk of the glory. I was no diver and had nothing short of admiration of their athleticism and courage for what they did. Terry was always friendly, courteous, and polite.
